Get to know Amanda Hagos
Hi, I’m Amanda and I am a licensed psychotherapist who partners with families to support their children and young adults through these challenging times. I offer in person sessions in my office in Fremont as well as virtual sessions.
I specialize in working with kids and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression or disordered eating (including ARFID). My approach is warm and I strive to partner with youth and families to provide additional support and tools in my in-person and virtual sessions.
By partnering with families, I believe that we can work together to support your child in overcoming struggles and develop a resiliency that can benefit them the rest of their lives. Families that I work with can expect to rekindle joy and peace in their lives. For those struggling with disordered eating, I offer support by integrating the family and supporting the client in body acceptance and a return to nourishment.
As a clinician, it is important that I individualize my care for each client, so I take an eclectic approach with a trauma informed, strength-based lens and will integrate many modalities to support my clients’ individual needs. I use Family Based Therapy (FBT) in the treatment of restrictive eating disorders and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for ARFID (CBT-AR) in the treatment of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
I am strength-based, trauma informed, anti-racist, ally to LGBTQ+ community and Health at Every Size aligned.
